Creating your first page

Pages bring charts, tables, plans, text and video in one place.

Understanding pages

Pages are custom views

Runway has models, databases, plans and charts. Pages bring everything together in one place, giving you up-to-date views of your models and dashboards.

Pages are versatile

Use pages to report on strategic plans, track progress, and collaborate with your team. They're great for investor or board updates, budget vs. actuals comparisons, headcount planning, and much more.

Working with pages

Adding a new page

  1. Click + button next to the Pages section in the main nav.
  1. Type a name for your page and, optionally, change the icon.

Next, let’s build your page by adding blocks—these are components you can use to add charts, tables, plans, and more.

Type / to access block options:

  • Driver charts Include individual drivers, driver groups, or all drivers in a model to charts.
  • Driver table Pull in tables for individual drivers, driver groups, or all the drivers in a model. You can also add rules to filter values.
  • Database table Pull in a complete database table.
  • Plan timeline Create a timeline of your Plans. You can add rules to filter the ones you see on your page.
  • Text Add text anywhere on the page. You can also reference driver values by typing @, followed by the driver name, and selecting Value on date. Runway keeps these value updated automatically.
  • Video Upload a video file or embed videos from Loom, YouTube, or other links by typing /Video.
  • Image Upload an image directly or embed one from a URL by typing/Image.
⚠️
Changes made to drivers, databases, or plans on a page automatically sync across Runway.

Customizing your charts

Hover over a chart block and click Customize at the top-right corner to adjust:

  • Date Range: Select the time frame displayed.
  • Multiple Drivers: Display several drivers within one chart, or as separate charts.
  • Chart type: Choose to display a line, bar, combination, value, area, pie, donut, or nightingale charts.

  • Select a single chart for each driver, or display all drivers in the same chart.
  • Change the size of the single charts.
  • Add more drivers to your charts.
  • Add drivers to the charts block.
  • Remove drivers from the charts block, or open the driver detail view. Click the six dots icon to the left of the drivers’ list to access these options.
  • Rearrange the order in which driver charts appear. Move individual drivers around by dragging and dropping the six dots icon to the left of the drivers’ list.

Customizing your layout

You have full control over the layout of your page:

  • Add multiple blocks side-by-side – Arrange content in columns, so charts, tables, and images can sit next to each other for better flow.
  • Customize block layouts – Drag and resize blocks to fit the structure of your report.
  • Show or hide block titles – For a cleaner look, you can hide titles from any chart, table, or timeline block by clicking the six-dot menu next to the title.

Sharing your page

Click the Share button at the top right of the page to add team members. Alternatively, you can copy the link and share it directly.
