Creating your first page

Pages bring charts, tables, plans, text and video in one place.

Understanding pages

Pages are custom views

Runway has models, databases, plans and charts. You also get Pages that bring everything in one place, creating up-to-date views of your models and dashboards.

Pages are versatile

Use them to report on strategic plans, check in on progress, and collaborate with your team. They're also great for investor or board updates, budget vs. actuals comparisons, headcount planning, and much more.

Working with pages

Adding a new page

  1. Click + button next to the Pages section in the main nav.
  1. Type a name for your page and, optionally, change the icon.

Next, let’s build your page by adding blocks—these are components you can use to add charts, tables, plans, and more.

Type / to access these block options :

  • Driver charts Include individual drivers, driver groups, or all drivers in a model to charts.
  • Driver table Pull in tables for individual drivers, driver groups, or all the drivers in a model. You can also add rules to filter values.
  • Database table Pull in a complete database table.
  • Plan timeline Create a timeline of your Plans. You can add rules to filter the ones you see on your page.
  • Text Just start typing to add text to your page. You can also pull in the value of any driver on a specific date. Type @, followed by the name of the driver, and select Value on date. Runway will keep the value up-to-date for you, syncing any changes you make elsewhere.
  • Video Embed a video from any link, or upload one from your computer.
  • Image Embed an image from any link, or upload one from your computer.
⚠️
Any changes you make to a driver, database, or plan on a page will automatically reflect across Runway.

Customizing your charts

A Customize button appears at the top right of the charts block when you hover over the block. Click the button to customize your charts:

  • Adjust the date range.
  • Choose to display a line, bar, combination, value, area, pie, donut or nightingale chart. You can show multiple drivers in a single chart.

  • Change the size of the single charts.
  • Add more drivers to your charts.
  • Add drivers to the charts block.
  • Remove drivers from the charts block, or open the driver detail view. Click the six dots icon to the left of the drivers’ list to access these options.
  • Rearrange the order in which driver charts appear. Move individual drivers around by dragging and dropping the six dots icon to the left of the drivers’ list.

Sharing your page

Click the Share button at the top right of the page to add team members. Alternatively, you can copy the link and share it directly.

⚠️
When you share your page with someone who isn't a member, manager, or admin, they'll be added as a guest. Guests have read-only access to pages and scenarios explicitly shared with them. (See this article for more details on roles and permissions.)
💡
To access your page, team members you've added will need to log into Runway using either a Google or Rippling account.
